Who we are and what we do
Shaw and Partners is a software development provider for high-profile startups with approximately 25 remote staff. We are also incubating two startups.
Christopher Shaw, the Founder and CEO would be your manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify and track bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and internal standards
Technical requirements:
- Frustrated with poorly structured, inefficient, and unmaintainable code
- Experience with testing frameworks, building backend APIs and user-centric frontends
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals knowledge (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, etc.)
Languages you need to know:
- React.js, Node.js and TypeScript
It would be very nice if you had:
- Strong experience and interest in working with Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Next, and Responsive Web Design, state management patterns and solutions (e.g. Redux) ES2015+, HTML5 APIs and CSS3
- Working experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment
- B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering

- You're plugged into the latest news in the tech world and like to give input on new ideas and solutions
- Is always attentive to customer feedback, after all it's the customer who pays the bills
